Bridging Ceremony

Bridging Ceremony (All Scouts bridging to the next age level) - May/June

Bridging is an important transition in a Girl Scout’s life. It’s a defining moment when a girl becomes aware of her achievements and is ready for new adventures and responsibilities. During bridging ceremonies, girls are honored for their progression and growth. All girls who move from one level to the next may attend this ceremony and bridge. Many troops will also participate in set activities that will earn them a bridging award. Bridging awards mark a girl’s transition from one leadership level to the next. An exciting time in a Girl Scout’s life, the earning of the award and completion of the activities are designed to emphasize the continuity of one Girl Scout program and to welcome girls to an anticipated “next level.” If you have any questions about the bridging award requirements just ask!
